Zee Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "You") and 주식회사 스크리블리 (Skribbli Co., Ltd.), a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Korea ("Zee," "we," "us," or "our"), with respect to your use of Zee's Services (as defined below) provided through Zee's web application and related mobile or desktop interfaces (collectively, the "App").

By using the App, You agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. Zee reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, by posting the updated version on tryzee.io. Modifications become effective immediately upon posting.

1. The App and Services

Zee is an AI-powered educational software that enables users to learn and improve languages and literacy skills through interactive, persona-based AI tutors (the "Services").

The Services may include push notifications, messages, and email communications. Zee may also display third-party promotional or commercial content.

Users can disable notifications through their device or App settings at any time.

The Services are available only to individuals over the age of 16 who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law, for personal educational use only.

Zee grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to access and use the App and Services solely for their intended purpose and subject to these Terms.

You represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Registration

To access the Services, you may be required to register and create a user account.

During registration, you may need to provide personal information such as your name, email address, and payment details, and to set a password.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information,
  • Keep your credentials confidential,
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

Zee reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or contain false information.

You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

Certain features are available only through paid subscriptions ("Paid Content").

By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fees ("Fees") displayed at the time of purchase.

3.1 Billing and Renewals

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before renewal.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription via your account settings or the applicable platform (e.g. App Store, Google Play).
  • All payments are processed through secure third-party processors (such as Stripe, Apple, Google, or Toss Payments).
  • Zee is not responsible for errors or disputes arising from third-party payment systems.

3.2 Trials

Zee may offer trial periods or discounted introductory offers.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the standard rate.

Trial eligibility and duration may vary.

3.3 Refunds

Refunds are not guaranteed once a billing cycle begins, except where required by law.

Subscription fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

4. Intellectual Property and License

All intellectual property rights in the App, Services, AI tutor models, and content are owned by Skribbli Co., Ltd. or its licensors.

This includes text, code, graphics, audio, video, branding, AI models, and all "look and feel" elements of the Service.

Zee grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App and Services solely for personal, educational purposes.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works,
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code,
  • Use the App for commercial or unlawful purposes.

Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions submitted to Zee may be used freely and without obligation.

5. User Content and AI-Generated Content

5.1 User Content

You may upload or provide content ("User Content") such as text, voice recordings, or images while using the App.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content provided.

By submitting content, you grant Zee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, reproduce, and process your content for the purpose of providing and improving the Services.

5.2 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by the App ("AI Content") is produced algorithmically and may be unpredictable.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI Content may be inaccurate or inappropriate,
  • AI tutors are simulated personas, not real individuals,
  • Zee does not endorse or guarantee any AI-generated information or advice.

Zee retains all rights to AI Content produced within the platform. You may not resell, distribute, or exploit such content commercially without written consent.

6. Restrictions on Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the App to generate or share illegal, harmful, or explicit material.
  2. Harass, impersonate, or exploit others.
  3. Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  4. Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy the AI systems.
  5. Circumvent technical or security features.
  6. Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization.

Zee reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

7. Third-Party Links and Content

The App may contain links to third-party websites, apps, or services.

Zee is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or content.

Use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Privacy Policy

Zee collects and processes certain personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the App, you consent to such processing.

We comply with relevant data protection laws including PIPA (Korea), GDPR (EU), and CCPA (California) where applicable.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Zee is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the App or Services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific learning goals.

Zee does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.

If you are experiencing a health or mental health emergency, please contact local emergency services immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Zee and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, loss of profit, or reputational harm.
  • Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skribbli Co., Ltd., its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the App,
  • Violation of these Terms,
  • Infringement of third-party rights.

12. Termination

Zee may suspend or terminate your access without notice if you:

  • Breach these Terms,
  • Misuse the platform, or
  • Engage in unlawful conduct.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations accrued prior to termination.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the Seoul Central District Court, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

14. Miscellaneous

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between You and Zee.
  • Zee may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
  • If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
  • Zee may assign these Terms to any affiliated entity or successor without notice.
